We live in an area where there is a lot of wind so sometimes the ground looks very clean but you can find some plastic bags stuck in trees on the hedges around the houses and sometimes in the river.
On the streets there are containers to collect glass and sometimes containers to collect paper but most of them have desappeared, actually there is a plan on to protect the French from terrorism, so all the litter boxes have been taken out because terrorists put bombs in them.Guillaume.

- cigarette ends --- uncountably many
- handouts on the streets --- some people throw them away immediately after they are handed them.
- empty cans --- behind benches and at the foot of trees
- empty boxes of photo films --- maybe tourists did
- black and dirty chewing gum --- maybe more than cigarette ends
My thoughts; There are many trash boxes around! Why didn't these people throw trash into the boxes! It is not so hard... I think it is important to take care of the others and environment a little more.

On my trip to Atlanta I saw a great deal of trash along thehighway - this included paper from fast food stores, old tires, amattress (it must have blown off a truck), and much more. The areaalong the highway has a lot of litter even though people regularly cleanit up.
Near home I saw garbage on the road. I believe someone put their trashout by the road for the garbage men to pickup today, but during thenight some animals (probably raccoons) got into it and dragged it allover the place. This happens often around here and we always encouragepeople to put their trash in cans with lids instead of just putting outbags which can be torn so easily.
Does anyone else have this problem where they live?(Fortbenning school georgea USA , Jerry , October 10) |
