Furusato Animal
(graduated from Okamoto Kita ES)
We continued the activities because we wanted to do them after we entered junior high school. We watched a WSN video today and noticed that we could experience valuable things thanks to the support of many people. It was good for me to exchange with different people and to have a broad point of view towards the world. I want to be a teacher, so I want to give such opportunities to my students when WSN will restart.
Graduates from Tokyo Kokusai HS
We presented our activities in the symposium in this room. We recalled our memories when watching the video. We made a video message on trash and littering, and began to notice trash on the street in our daily life after that. The project raised our awareness.
Graduates of Kyoto Momoyama Junior High
I learned about issues in developing countries and cultures through my experience with WSN. I had only a limited knowledge about the world and it was fresh for me to touch different cultures in the world and I was surprised. Thanks to WSN, I decided to participate in an exchange with people suffering from poverty and disasters.
Graduates of Nakano 7th JH
I exchanged ideas with students from other schools about black bass and endangered species through the Internet, so my school life was great. Because of the experiences of WSN, I am who I am now.
Graduate of Tochio Higashi ES
I did WSN as comprehensive learning class. I realized that I learnt big things in WSN. We reported what we were doing and got comments. We were connected with others and we were accepted by them. I developed an ability to think by presenting own opinions and listening to the others’. Through this process I got to know the world and had a broadened viewpoint from other schools, Japan and the world. At last, I appreciate that I could face environmental issues which are worldwide issues. Thanks to WSN, we learnt deeper. We reviewed and developed our own learning by connecting with others.
